The Challenge

The Solution
Torsten Sturm, the Chief Technical Officer for hotel.de whose responsibilities entail all IT-related issues for the site, singles out IPCheck Server Monitor's ability to monitor the content of Web sites for specialized content as being especially helpful in keeping track of things across the many booking services hotel.de utilises.
Without this feature, "Just the fact that you get an answer on Port 80 does not say anything if a special service runs -- e.g. if search in a database is functioning," he says.
So Sturm created monitoring web pages to display special-response text fragments which are monitored through IPCheck Server Monitor.
"That helped us a lot to get a complete and in-depth idea about the status of all operations," he says. "IPCheck is very flexible, feature-rich and affordable at the same time."
