PRTG Manual: PRTG Hosted Monitor Customer Portal

In the PRTG Hosted Monitor Customer Portal, you can manage your PRTG Hosted Monitor instances and accounts.

Select Overview on the navigation sidebar to open the Subscription Overview. Here you see details of your PRTG Hosted Monitor instance.

Add new subscription

Create a new subscription or upgrade an existing trial plan to a commercial plan.

Open PRTG

Open your PRTG Hosted Monitor instance in the PRTG web interface.

Manage

Open the Manage Subscription page.

Upgrade subscription

This setting is only visible for trial plan subscriptions.

Upgrade your trial plan to a commercial plan.

To edit the details of your subscription, click Manage while on Subscription Overview. This opens the Manage Subscription page.

You can edit the following settings on this page:

Change PRTG Subdomain

Enter a new subdomain name, for example, myfirstdomain. The subdomain name can be anywhere from 4 to 60 characters long. If you enter myfirstdomain as the domain name, your PRTG Hosted Monitor instance will be reachable under myfirstdomain.my-prtg.com.
i_round_redIf you have remote probes, you must manually change the domain name for the PRTG core server. This corresponds to the Server (IPv4 Address or DNS Name) setting in the PRTG Administration Tool.

Change PRTG Timezone

Select a timezone from the dropdown list if you want to change the current setting.

Change Multifactor Authentication in PRTG

To enable multifactor authentication for all users of your PRTG Hosted Monitor instance, click b_pphm_toggle_disabled. After you enable this option, multifactor authentication is activated for all users of your PRTG Hosted Monitor instance and they are asked to scan a QR code with a Time-based One-time Password algorithm (TOTP) application and to enter the current one-time password (OTP) to finish the setup. For more information about logging in with multifactor authentication, see section Use Multifactor Authentication with PRTG Hosted Monitor.

Data Sharing Options

Select the depth of information that you want to share with Paessler for product improvement and optimization purposes:

  • Share telemetry data
  • Share anonymized data (default)
  • Share comprehensive data

Request Hosting Region Transfer

Request a different hosting region for your instance.

Restart Instance

Restart your PRTG Hosted Monitor instance.

Change Subscription

This setting is only visible for trial plan subscriptions.

Cancel your trial plan subscription or upgrade to a commercial plan.

My Account

Click Account or your account name on the navigation sidebar to open your account settings.

Multifactor authentication

To enable multifactor authentication for this account, click b_pphm_toggle_disabled. For more information, see section Use Multifactor Authentication with PRTG Hosted Monitor.

Reset password

Change the password for your PRTG Hosted Monitor account. Follow the instructions on the screen and in the email that you receive.

Edit billing details

Update your billing address. Select the billing address that you want to update and change the details where necessary. Click Update to save your changes.

Edit payment details

Update your payment method. Select the payment method that you want to update and change the details where necessary. Click Update to save your changes. If you do not have a payment method saved yet, add the necessary details and click Add.

Click Invoices on the navigation sidebar to open the Invoices page. Here you can view and download all of your invoices.

Upload

Click Upload on the navigation sidebar to open the File Upload page. Here you can upload custom device templates and custom files.

Select your PRTG subscription

Select the instance for which you want to upload files.

Device Template Customization

Select the device templates that you want to upload from the list and click Upload.

My Custom Files

Manually upload your custom files and your custom device templates. Click pphm_add_file next to the type of file that you want to upload and select a file or multiple files. Click Upload to upload the selected files.

Microsoft Entra ID Integration

Click Microsoft Entra ID on the navigation sidebar to open the Microsoft Entra ID page.

To use Microsoft Entra ID as a single sign-on (SSO) provider for PRTG Hosted Monitor, log in to the Azure Portal. After Microsoft Entra ID is integrated into PRTG Hosted Monitor, you can also invite other users from your Active Directory (AD) into PRTG Hosted Monitor.

Multi-Platform Probe

Click Multi-platform probe on the navigation sidebar to open the Multi-Platform Probe page. Here you can enable and disable multi-platform probes for your PRTG Hosted Monitor instance and set up the required connection details for the NATS authentication.

Add new NKey

This setting is only visible if multi-platform probes are enabled.

Add an NKey from a multi-platform probe that you want to connect.

Refresh status

Click pphm_refresh_status to refresh the displayed status of the NKeys that you added.

Delete NKey

Click pphm_delete_nkey next to an existing NKey entry to remove it from this PRTG Hosted Monitor instance.

Download certificate

This setting is only visible if multi-platform probes are enabled.

Download the Transport Layer Security (TLS) certificate used with the NATS server that Paessler configures for your PRTG Hosted Monitor instance.

Disable multi-platform probes

This setting is only visible if multi-platform probes are enabled.

Disable multi-platform probes for this instance.

PRTG Users

Click PRTG Users on the navigation sidebar to open the PRTG Users page. Here you can view the user accounts associated with an instance.

Logout

Click Logout in the upper-right corner to log out of your PRTG Hosted Monitor account.
