Paessler launches Webserver Stress Tool 6

Paessler Software Solutions, a German software development firm that has developed such well-known software applications as PhotoMeister and IPCheck, announces the latest version of its webserver load test tool – Webserver Stress Tool 6 for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.

Webserver Stress Tool 6 helps optimize website and web server performance by identifying critical issues through user simulation and advanced reporting. Webserver Stress Tool 6 tests websites by simulating large numbers of users accessing the site e.g. to test the ability of a webserver to handle incremental traffic. By using HTTP and HTTPS requests (including images and redirects) it can test any server-side scripting (i.e., ASP, CGI, PHP, etc.) and can be used with all webserver technologies.

Using a completely multithreaded software architecture this new version is capable of creating much higher website loads than the previous versions.

"Webserver Stress Tool 6 provides our customers with an unparalleled, cost-effective solution to test webserver and website performance," says Dirk Paessler, CEO of Paessler Software Solutions. "At a fraction of the cost of other solutions, Webserver Stress Tool 6 provides web developers, webmasters, and network administrators the ability to quickly identify and solve critical performance issues. This can guarantee website uptime, uninterrupted service to users, and protects an investment in website architecture technology."

From fortune 50 to Fortune 1000, global companies are putting Webserver Stress Tool to use in a variety of industries. Customers include America Online, AT&T Broadband,, Dell, IBM, Intel, KPMG Consulting, Macromedia, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Oracle Consulting.
