PRTG Manual: Logs

Logs show all past activities and events of your PRTG monitoring setup. This is useful for researching past user activities, system events, and, for example, for checking whether messages were sent. In a typical setup, a huge amount of log data is produced. Because the activity of every single object is recorded, you can use this information to check if your setup works exactly as desired.

There are several filters available for navigating the log entries more easily.

There are two options to open the logs list: Either click the Log tab on the details page of a probe, group, device, or sensor, or select the Logs option from the main menu.

Probe, group, device, and sensor pages have tabs that you can use to navigate between the different options. For example, you can view your network's status, view monitoring results, or change settings.
