PATLITE devices can be easily integrated with Paessler PRTG via SNMP, HTTP, Modbus, or API to monitor their availability with PRTG. By monitoring PATLITE beacons with PRTG, machines connected to the beacons can be indirectly monitored for preventive maintenance and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) to increase overall productivity. PRTG detects the status of the beacon and thus the status of the connected machine. On the other hand, PATLITE devices can be accessed by PRTG. This extends PRTG’s alerting capabilities with visual and audible signals.
Example: Monitoring a five color PATLITE signal tower. A PRTG sensor with six channels monitors both the availability of the signal tower and which color is lit. In this case, all colors are inactive (off), and the sensor is displayed as green in PRTG. This means that the machine connected to the PATLITE signal tower has not triggered an alarm and is operating in a normal condition.
