The University of Mosul is the second-largest university in Iraq, with over 40,000 students spread across 100 buildings. The IT team manages a sprawling campus network: the main router, core and distribution switches, Wi-Fi access points, wireless links, and a remote data center.
Half of the IT staff are also lecturers and researchers. Time spent troubleshooting network issues is time taken directly away from teaching and academic work.
The team also needed centralized visibility across the campus to catch problems early, respond faster, and stay focused on their primary roles.
