There are a lot of Azure
errors out there. Way too many, right?
You as a sysadmin know that for sure – Azure 500 Internal Server Error, Azure logging errors, vpn client errors.
The Azure cloud computing service sometimes drives you crazy.
Here's a list of the most common errors around Azure and the proven solution to them:
- Azure 500 internal server error
- Azure error logging
- VPN client error: error 812
- Common Azure error codes
And you'll find the solution to get rid of ALL Azure errors – forever: Test PRTG and get started within minutes!
You receive the following error message, when you use Release Management 2013 Update 3 to create a virtual Azure machine with the new vNext:
The remote server returned an error (500) Internal Server Error
Follow these steps for a workaround:
- Under Configure Apps search for the Server > Server tab and delete it.
(Server name is in this format: "<Environment Name>::<Azure VM name>")
- Click Link Azure Servers to try to add the Azure VM from the Environments tab again.
It is simple deploying apps for the Azure App Service, but sometimes you end up with a sad (and rather cryptic) 502, 503 or another 5xx error when starting the app, when things don't go as planned.
These problems are tricky to debug because the app has not started yet and therefore cannot display a useful error message itself. The server will then simply display a generic and hard to understand error page.

The connection was prevented due to a policy configured on your RAS/VPN server. (Error 812) This error occurs if the RADIUS server you used to authenticate the VPN client has incorrect settings or the Azure Gateway cannot reach the Radius server.
Make sure that the RADIUS server is configured correctly. For more information, see Integrating RADIUS Authentication with the Azure Multi-Factor Authentication Server.
Switch to PRTG: PRTG network monitor offers integrated, complete active directory monitoring in real time.
