Fuerth, Germany, April 21st 2004 - The new Paessler Site Inspector released today by Paessler GmbH offers a one stop analysis tool that offers various information about a website accumulated in one place which was previously hard to uncover or had to be collected from scattered places around the web.

Paessler Site Inspector (based in parts on IE Booster) helps experienced webmasters and web developers to debug and analyze websites or Web pages, but also gives novices a chance to take a peek behind the scenes of the World Wide Web.

"Accessing the sources and secrets of a webpage has never been easier or faster," says Dirk Paessler, CEO of Paessler GmbH. "With Site Inspector, we have pulled together detailed analysis techniques and selected online resources into a single tool and plugged that into an application already running on your desktop, Internet Explorer."

Site Inspector adds a toolbar and several new menu items to the context menu of Internet Explorer. Through the toolbar and the context menu items a large number of analysis functions is available to look behind the technology and structure of a webpage and to get extensive background information about the current website.

There are analysis features for all aspects of a webpage, e.g. HTML code, images, forms and scripts. Also functions to check the links and HTML validity of a page as well as performance checks are included. Even the owner of the domain or the website's current global traffic ranking can be accessed - and all from inside one familiar application, Internet Explorer.

Key Site Inspector features include:

  • Lists of all forms and images available in the viewed webpage, including usually hidden information such as the images' file sizes, URLs and dimensions.
  • Lists of all scripts, hyperlink URLs and style sheets of the viewed webpage.
  • Displayed http-header information, including status code, server information, content type and showing structured source based on the Document Object Model.
  • Highlighting of HTML elements by adding colored borders around each object to discover a webpage's structure
  • Advanced copy functionality for URLs, page titles, page titles as tags, source code, hyperlinks, and expanded functionality using the integrated Copy Meister.
