Syslog Server for Windows
Manage your network devices with PRTG
PRTG Network Monitor is a syslog server for Windows: one of the more than 130 sensor types supported by PRTG is the Syslog Receiver: it receives syslog messages from network devices and checks their content.
An alert can be triggered depending on the content of the syslog message. This way, PRTG is a central syslog server which collects the log information of your network devices and informs you when certain events occur. Administrators can choose for which types of events they want to receive alerts. This way, PRTG makes sure that you will not overlook important information.
As part of its flexible alerting system that supports various notifications technologies (e.g. email or SMS, or executing an external programme), PRTG also offers the possibility to send SNMP traps and syslog messages to notify administrators of alerts.

PRTG - More Than a Syslog Server for Windows
PRTG Network Monitor is much more than a syslog server for Windows: the powerful network monitoring solution from Paessler checks the availability of network components while also recording network traffic and usage. This IP traffic monitor can also be used to monitor Hyper-V and other virtual machines, as a server performance monitor and for email monitoring. Moreover, with its built-in QoS sensor, which measures parameters like VoIP jitter, packet loss and packet delay, it is an ideal tool for VoIP monitoring.
Our network monitoring software is available in two editions.
