Challenge

ITL was running various server management programs for the different sections of their network which included over 50 class C IP ranges to manage servers running different operating systems including Novell, Linux, NT and Windows 2000. They needed one program that could monitor every critical server and inform them and the NOC when something was wrong.

Prior to migrating to Paessler’s IPCheck Server Monitor, ITL was running a variety of other management programs, most notably Puresecure which they still use as a backup to IPCheck.

Ultimately they chose IPCheck Server monitor because it was the easiest most comprehensive solution because not only did it inform them when things went wrong but it also had the ability to fix many problems for them because of the ability to restart Windows server services.
