Edit (April 2016): The MSP 25,000 license isn't available any more. You can again use all PRTG licenses up to the PRTG Unlimited license for MSP purposes. For more information, please have a look at our MSP offering page.

PRTG Network Monitor now comes with a new license targeted towards MSPs (Managed Service Providers) that makes it a perfect solution for offering "Monitoring as a Service" to your customers: the remote probes. Each license of PRTG from 100 to 5,000 sensors allows you to implement as many probes as you want to on your customers' networks. The probes send the monitoring data to the core server using SSL encryption. With the roles and rights model in PRTG you can even give your customers full access to their monitoring so they can manage it by themselves if they want to. You could also set up your customers' monitoring and deliver the results in reports or on custom maps.

Every PRTG license from the free PRTG 100 license up to the PRTG 5,000 license can be used to offer "Monitoring as a Service" to your customers. Starting November 4th we will offer a brand-new 25,000 sensor license that perfectly matches the special needs of MSPs and allows you to spread 25,000 sensors between any number of customers-in any way required.

With the new MSP 25,000 license you can use as many core servers (on one site) and probes as you want to. The only limitation is the number of sensors. With this MSP license you can now spread the load to multiple core servers and improve performance significantly. That is especially beneficial when using PRTG in virtual environments allowing you to set up dedicated PRTG core servers for each of your customers. Another change for the MSP 25,000 license is the licensing model: it doesn't come as a perpetual license any more, but on a subscription based model. This helps keep the upfront invest low.
