Paessler AG Reports 45% Revenue Growth For Q1/Q2 2010, Hires Michael Marzy To Head USA Business Development
Strong Demand Attributed to Fast Global Rise in VoIP, Hosted Applications, Virtualization and Cloud Solutions; Company Adds Three Others to Executive Ranks
NUREMBERG, GERMANY - (July 21, 2010) - Paessler AG, a leading provider of network monitoring software, announced today that it has achieved better-than-expected revenue growth for its network monitoring tools. Fueled by a 45% increase in sales for Q1 and Q2 of 2010 over the same period in 2009, the company is further expanding its presence in the U.S., facilitated by the hiring of Michael Marzy as VP/Business Development (USA).
Marzy is a sales and marketing executive with 25 years of experience in consumer and business software sales and consulting. He comes to Paessler from WebVentures Ltd., a Munich, Germany-based sales consulting firm, where he served as a senior business development consultant to well-known technology companies including Steganos and asknet AG.
Previously Marzy was founder and CEO of Tendi AG, an online software reseller, and VP/Sales & Marketing (EMEA) for MetaCreations. He also held various sales management positions with Intuit, Micrografx and Olivetti.

Paessler's 45% first half increase over the same period in 2009 follows a 30% increase for calendar 2009 over 2008. The company believes its record revenue growth has been driven by the continuing high deployment of virtual and cloud computing services, as well as the expansion of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony and hosted Software as a Service (SaaS) applications. These trends have produced a growing demand for reliable and high-end Network Monitoring Solutions like PTRG.
