Monitor and Optimize Your Network Using PRTG
PRTG Network Monitor is a network management tool that makes a network administrator's job much easier: the software checks the availability of network devices, tracks bandwidth usage and measures network speed and performance.
Bandwidth Monitoring with the PRTG Network Management Tool
The network port monitor uses SNMP, packet sniffing and NetFlow to acquire network usage data, enabling you to monitor bandwidth utilization by port, protocol, IP address or other parameters.
Stay on top of Your Network Devices
The network management tool uses PING tests to check if your servers, printers, switches, etc. are up and running. Many other, sophisticated sensors allow you to check everything from CPU load to free disk space, and to monitor different kinds of servers, databases, etc. Events can be logged using the SNMP Trap server and the Syslog Receiver, advanced Quality of Service sensors check latency and jitter noise, and custom sensors allow you to adjust the network management tool to all your needs.
Thanks to its comprehensive functionality, PRTG is a great performance test software which shows you how your network works under normal and peak loads, and makes it easy to recognize bottlenecks. The software's WMI support makes it a great tool for Windows XP, 7, and Vista network troubleshooting, and the iPhone interface makes even mobile network monitoring possible.
