Using the Add Threshold Notification, it is possible to add a notification which will alert an e-mail recipient when a sensor has reached a certain threshold value.
The Channel setting allows you to select from the IN, OUT, or the SUM of both, in order to use this value as the specified one in order to ascertain when the threshold has been reached.
Under the Threshold entry, you will find four drop-downs. These allow you to set whether the threshold is to be dependant over or under a specific value. This value is defined in units per time, as set by the last drop-downs.
The third row allows you to define the time span for which these measurements are to be considered.
Note: Make sure that the time span used is greater than the polling interval set for this sensor!
As such, if you want a threshold notification to be sent when the readings go over 5000 kbit per hour during a time span of 1 day, the settings would look like this:
