PRTG Manual: First Start

The Enterprise Console Is Deprecated!

The Enterprise Console is deprecated. We provide the documentation in this section for your information only. We recommend that you use PRTG Desktop instead.

This section helps you to start the Enterprise Console for the first time.

Open the Enterprise Console

Execute the PRTG Enterprise Console.exe to start the Enterprise Console. As soon as it opens, the Enterprise Console tries connecting to your PRTG installation, according to the defined PRTG server connection settings. In a fresh install of PRTG, the settings for the Enterprise Console installed on the computer running the PRTG core server are already predefined, so you can use the Enterprise Console right away. If you get an error message when opening the Enterprise Console, check the connection settings. For example, adjusting the settings is necessary if you changed the IP address of the server.

Tray Window

By default, the Enterprise Console runs in background and shows a message box whenever there are new alerts, new messages, or new tickets for your monitoring. This window is one of the first things you see after opening the Enterprise Console.
