Why are sensors missing in my auto-created device template?

Votes:

I have created a device template using the "Create device template" function in the device menu. However, not all of the sensors that were in the original device are created by the autodiscovery.

For PRTG 8.2 or Later

Auto-discovery functionalities were extended as from version 8.2. Now most sensors and settings can be stored in a device template. For exceptions, please see the manual section Create Device Template, heading Settings That are Not Saved.

For PRTG Version 8.1 or Earlier (Deprecated)

This part of the article applies to PRTG Network Monitor up to version 8.1 only. Auto-discovery was extended as of PRTG version 8.2.
