Corporate Unlimited vs Unlimited

Hello,

How does Corporate Unlimited differ from Unlimited license?

And most importantly, if it supports multi core servers, how does that work?

Is it similar top clustering servers and a single data base?

If one of the core servers shuts down, do the others simply take over for any new loggen on users using PRTG?

Thanks!

Important note: These licenses are deprecated. Please find all currently available licenses in the FAQs about PRTG.

Hello,

the Unlimited license only supports being installed once (exception twice if both servers run in a PRTG Cluster). Whereas the Corporate license allows several (i.e. more than one/two) installations of PRTG within a corporate network in a country, regardless if those PRTG Servers then run in a PRTG Cluster or not.
In a PRTG Cluster all nodes monitor all the time, and so have their own database each. So there is no taking-over of the database (no single database). And users may have to go to the failovers webinterface if a master node is down, because there is no automatic redirect.

best regards.
