Have PRTG setup on a Hyper V client virtual server. Trying to get a packet sniffer working but only having limited success. Only internat traffic is being captured. Have port mirroring setup on the switch. In Hyper V setup a virtual external network and mapped the PRTG server's virtual NIC to a physical NIC. The physical NIC is connected with a cat 5 cable to a hub that is connected to the mirrored port. I did notice these errors on the virtual server's event log: Port 'F1E9B707-2E68-4353-8940-DB71CC339B5A' was prevented from using MAC address '00-15-5D-01-DF-1C' because it is pinned to port '1B82FF67-1B36-42D9-954B-786154E8F2B9'. The mac address mentioned is the MAC of the PRTG server's virtual NIC. I had this working great on a VMware virtual server but trying to transition it to Hyper V. Any suggestions?
