How do I enable the Remote Registry Service on a Windows PC?

Some monitoring tasks require the "Remote registry Service" to be enabled. How can I do this?

  • Go to the services manager.
  • Find the "Remote Registry" service
  • Double click on the service
  • Set "Start type" to "Automatic"
  • click the "Start" button
  • Save your settings by clicking OK
