Paessler AG was founded in 1997 and is today a leading supplier of network monitoring software for Windows systems. Our software is developed in our offices in Nuremberg, Germany. Our Product

PRTG Network Monitor is globally recognized as one of the most popular monitoring tools for networks. Almost 100 sensor types for all relevant network services and protocols cover monitoring of availability, usage and bandwidth. Driven by user feedback, the ongoing progress of network technology and our own vision of the optimal monitoring tool we constantly improve and refine PRTG.

Your Tasks

You will join the excellent developers that have created this outstanding software and you will be able to contribute your own talents as we create the next generations of PRTG. This is not an everday development job: We do have a clear vision for the future of our product and a roadmap to get us there. But we do not write extensive specs and hand them around for weeks. We identify a problem or come up with a vision for a new feature and then we create an appropiate solution in days rather than weeks or months.

The job of a PRTG developer is actually quite versatile as our software must be able to interact with all network scenarios that one can think of (from LANs of a one-man-show company to WANs of global enterprises, from Linux to Windows servers) and our software has to be able to communicate with any network attachable device or service in the world as well. An integrated part of the job is to provide third-level support to our customers. Together with our experienced support engineers you will solve customer problems and fix bugs.

Your Profile

You are a team player and you enjoy agile software development. Creating great software is driving you forward. You are able to think "out-of-the-box" in order to create solutions off the beaten track. Our goal is to create products that our customers enjoy so much that they recommend them to their colleagues and peers. So we try to pour our own enthusiasm into code.

In the past you have developed software full-time for more than 3 years (preferably in the fields of Windows, networking and TCP) and you have extensively used either .NET or Delphi and at least one other development language (or you have a comparable track record).

Our software development and support is mainly conducted in English, so very good English skills are mandatory. We are based in Germany which makes German language skills mandatory, too. Any other language skills are welcome!
