New Features in PRTG 7.2: The New "S" View for Groups

During the beta test of version 7.2 of PRTG Network Monitor I will write a few posts about new features that we have built into this new version.

With version PRTG 7.2 we are introducing a new "view" for the groups page which will especially appeal to all users that manage many devices with PRTG. This new view shows all groups and devices in a very compact form making it possible to have a quick overview over your network.

This view initially hides all the individual sensors to achieve a compact overview. The device colors display a summary of the sensor states, i.e. a device shown in red has at least one sensor in error state, yellow means there is at least on sensor in warning state, etc.

The sensors are only shown "on demand": As soon as you hover your mouse pointer over a device all the sensors of the device are shown (look at www.photomeister.com in the screenshot).

Simply click the "S" link on the top right of your groups page to switch to this new display mode. Clicking "M" brings you back to the default mode.
