The official beta test for version 7.1 of PRTG Network Monitor is approaching its final stage. Today we have uploaded the Release Candidate!
During the public beta test (ongoing since
January 30th 2009) PRTG Network Monitor version 7.1 was thoroughly tested by our own team as well as hundreds of beta testers. Internally we called this intense test project the "mother of all software tests" and we are quite satisfied with the results: we are now convinced that the upcoming release of PRTG 7.1 is
- 1. the best software we have ever created and
- 2. the best tested software we have ever released.
The best PRTG ever
Since version 7.0.9 more than 800 development tasks (mostly new features and improvements plus a number of bugfixes as well) have been implemented. So many aspects of the software have been improved. The web-based user interface has been heavily improved (it is much faster and more comfortable now). We have implemented features that have been missing from version 6 (toplists, percentiles, custom graphs). And we have added numerous new features (new sensor types, automatic probe updating, channel settings, just to name a few). Please check out the
PRTG Network Monitor product history page for a detailed list of changes.
Time to say "Thank You"
I want to use this opportunity and say
thank you to all testers that have sent us their invaluable feedback.
