How to Move an Installation of PRTG 7 to Another Computer
Today we have added a new article to the knowledgebase which explains how to move an installation of PRTG Network Monitor V7 onto another computer.
The steps are:
- Install PRTG on the target system
- Stop core and probe services on source and target system
- Find the data folders
- Copy all files to the data folders of the target system
- Copy all settings for the core server to the target system
- Copy all settings for the probe to the target system
- Start core and probe services on the target system
- Log into the webinterface and review monitoring setup and results
