Latest IPCheck beta version adds WMI sensors and support for Vista
The latest beta for IPCheck Server Monitor version 5.4.1 mainly adds two new features: WMI sensors and Vista support.
Five new sensor types based on WMI
We have added five new sensor types that are based on WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation). WMI is a technology that aims to easy the management and monitoring in Windows networks and is supported since XP and Windows 2003 Server. After entering the credentials for a domain account you can now monitor the CPU load and memory load and the disk space usage as well as individual services on remote Windows computers in your LAN. Additionally you can create your own WMI queries in the WML language and run them with IPCheck.
Support for Windows Vista
IPCheck now fully supports Windows Vista as a host. In order to support Windows Vista we mainly had to make major internal changes to the IPCheck Control Panel and we had to change the fileformat of the Helpfiles to CHM (compiled help).
More changes
There are also some other minor changes (see the history page).
