Paessler MIB Importer V1.0 Beta
Now there is a brand new version of our MIB Importer Tool available on the website. With this software you can easily import MIB files and convert them into OID libraries for PRTG Traffic Grapher and IPCheck Server Monitor.
What are “MIB”s? Many network devices and programs come with so-called MIB files that describe the parameters and readings which are available for monitoring via SNMP. With MIB Importer 1.0 you can import these MIB files (supplied by the vendor of your devices) and convert them into OID libraries for PRTG Traffic Grapher and IPCheck Server Monitor. Then you can easily setup sensors in both programs.
This new version now comes with a huge set of include MIB files. Gathering all the MIB files from the Internet could sometimes be a tough task with the previous version. We have also improved the parser software to be compatible with more MIB files (one has to say that many MIB files don’t conform to the RFCs too closely….).
