IE7 will available later this month and in the coming weeks it will be installed automatically (!) on all Windows systems on the planet via the automatic update service. Are you ready? At least your installations of Paessler software products are!
For the official "Microsoft Internet Explorer Weblog" Scott Graff has written an article (IE7 Is Coming This Month...Are you Ready?) with various links and in-depth information about IE7 and about the issues that network administrators should be aware of. The most important thing to do now is of course to download IE7 RC1 and test all mission critical websites and apps with it. For the Paessler products we have already done that for you and we can report that we have not found any serious incompatibility so far. We have tested the following products with IE7: There are a few minor issues for our freeware product Paessler Site Inspector (e.g. the "Resize Browser Window" function does not work) but most of PSI's functionality remains intact. These problems are obviously caused by increased security mechanism in IE7.
