Freeware and Standard Edition of IPCheck massively upgraded

Today IPCheck’s lead developer Roland has released V5.3.2 of IPCheck Server Monitor which dramatically enhances the features available for the users of the Freeware Edition and the Standard Edition. These new enhancements give the Freeware a lot more value.

Until now Freeware and Standard users were limited to six basic sensor types, now they can use all sensor types that IPCheck Server Monitor offers. And we put even more on top: Instead of three sensors the Freeware users can now use up to five sensors.

What this means for the Freeware

With this move we think that the freeware of IPCheck steps up into a class of its own compared to most other free solutions available on the Net. Although the limitation of the minimum sensor intervall (15 minutes minimum) still applies, the Freeware is now the perfect tool for owners of small websites or networks to find outages in their network soon.

We believe that a webmaster hosting a number of smaller website(s) on a shared server now has a perfect tool in IPCheck, because in most cases for him 15 minutes until a problem is discovered is fast enough. And when he (or his customers) outgrow this limitation (and need faster monitoring intervals) he can simply upgrade to the Standard Edition for less than 150 bucks.

What this means for Users of the Standard Edition

Users of the Standard Edition can enhance their monitoring capabilities by simply upgrading to the newest version. Instantly they will have the possibility to monitor advanced HTTP sensors, SNMP sensors, SQL servers and Windows system sensors.
